PORT-OF-SPAIN doubles vendors will not be increasing their prices to $4, at least not yet.
Customers said yesterday that a doubles was now $4 in places like Curepe, St James and Westmoorings.
Despite the increase in price for the two baras and channa, the doubles vendors on Independence Square, Port-of-Spain, said yesterday their price was staying at $3.
This is mainly because the vendors said they were keeping customers in mind.
“Port-of-Spain is the toughest crowd to deal with. The crowd very hard to please,” said Cleve Baptiste, The Original Doubles Man.
