Carnival and Crime

Carnival 2K8 has come and gone but not without a long list of casualties. Now besides the murders, which we could call non-Carnival related as this is now the norm in T&T, there were quite a number (at least 200) of stabbings which took place during the season. Now we're talking at least 200 stabbings that took place during the Carnival Season and I'm sure there were probably a hundred more that weren't reported. Our Commissioner of Police, Trevor Poodle *cough* I mean Paul, in his great wisdom, comes on National television and states that Carnival 2K8 was "incident free". Now I don't know what brand of weed this guy is smoking, but I seriously think he should stop. How could 200 stabbings during the Carnival season, plus the 8 or so homicides, add up to an incident free Carnival season? Somebody please explain this to me.

I came across an article that somewhat expresses my thoughts.

What's a violent act Mr Paul?

It is accurate that securing proven material on this subject can be troublesome.
