Rape during interview: accused in court
A man who allegedly raped a woman after luring
her to his home with the promise of a job appeared in court yesterday,
charged with two counts of sexual assault.
Cuffie Dillon, of Cocoyea, San Fernando, was granted $150,000 bail by Deputy Chief Magistrate Mark Wellington.
Last Monday, a 35-year-old Fyzabad woman reported to police that she
answered an employment advertisement and went to a house in Cocoyea
where she was interviewed and then raped.
Dillon was represented yesterday by attorney Steadson Jack. He was ordered to reappear in court on July 30.
Also appearing in the San
Fernando First Magistrate's Court yesterday, was a 62-year-old man
charged with the grievous sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl at a
house in San Fernando on Saturday.
The man was told he would be allowed out of prison if he posted
$45,000 bail or paid a $20,000 cash bond. His case was adjourned to
next Thursday.
